Thanks for stopping by. A little over a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. This painful disease causes, abdominal pain, anemia, and mostly fatigue along with many other symptoms. From what I found through many hours of research, everyone has different symptoms of this disease and suffers from many of the same things. I suffered from Crohn's related symptoms for sometime before finally going to the doctor. After many visits, the final decision was made, I have Crohn's.
After having a really rough weekend recently, I decided to go to a specialist. So off to Nashville we went. After looking at me in his room, he immeadiately put me in the hospital. I stayed in Baptist Hospital in Nashville for some 12-14 days. Following this stay in the hospital, I started frrling a little better. Then, a little later, I had another very painful weekend. Following this weekend, my doctor put me back in the hospital. This time I knew what was going to happen. Yes surgery.
The went in an cut out some 12-14 inches of my small intestine, where most of the Crohn's Disease was located. Following a stay in the hospital, I came home. I am still having a little problem due to the operation, bu as for my pain related to Crohn's. THERE IS NONE! I still have my regular check-ups and have to take my medicine.
I would enjoy hearing from anyone who has any comments about this disease and how it can effect you life. I will keep updateing this site often, as I learn more links and information about Crohn's.
But not to let this slow me down, I am trying to lead a full life. I am the floor manager at Tractor Supply Company here in Tullahoma. Along with my regular job, I have many other things to keep me going most of the time.
I am very active in the life of my children. Going from being the leader of a girl scout troop for my youngest, Dawn, to helping with the troop of my oldest,Whitney, to going from softball practice and games, pretty well takes up the rest of my hours of the day. I am also a member of Center Grove Baptist Church in Tullahoma. I feel that if had not been for the Lord's help, I would have not made it through this ordeal.
