I'm in Texas. My flight went well. I will be relaxing and doing as little as possible for the next week. So while I'm at it I went to the CoH forums to research what I'm suspecting are bogus propaganda and misinformation that seems to be circulating amongst my colleagues at my super-group, The Heretics.
Story: Skills (as in DnD style skills) will be implemented in the game. Information: I find skills mentioned no where in the forums in context. Statesman mentions the necessity for a lone person to be able to solo. I am thinking that having skills would be detrimental to that as it requires the cooperation of a team to have a healthy balance of skills. Which, if I may meander from point for a moment, is probably part of the teamwork of tabletop RPG's that can't be recreated online for that very reason.
Story: Our powers will be shut off at the implementation of CoV. Information: Again, I find nothing in any of the CoV FAQs that covers this. It does mention that when joining up with CoV your VILLAIN will have no powers until he/she gets recruited by a super-villain group. It is my suspected belief that this was misunderstood, misinterpreted, misread, or misheard and passed to me.
If anyone else has any feedback, feel free to post. In the meantime let me leave you with today's Buddhist conundrum: Friction impedes movement, but without friction nothing could be moved.
Oh yeah, and I am roaming now, so forgive me if I do not answer my phone.

The thought of no powers steam for the city of heros comics in which case the last issue everyones powers were turned off. Spinning it to game time the commic usually shadows what will come in game so the suspicion is there. As for the others you mentioned i'll keep an eye out myself and check sorces
