Snow and Ice 2007/02/05 4 comments  ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ It's been cold here in Tennessee for the last few days. I took advantage of this and got out to take some pictures. In chronological order you will see sunset from Pilot's Knob, some stuff around my apartment, Burgess Falls, icicles from Bon Aire mountain and sunset from Sunset Rock. In regards to Burgess Falls all of the ice shots were from tributaries to the larger river. Here's some information about Burgess Fall's history (part 1 and part 2), and geology (part 1 and part 2 (incomplete, sorry!)). Here's some info on the geologic formations that comprise the falls.
