Abandoned Thread Mill 2007/03/03 4 comments  ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ My adventure today started by hiking to the top of Milksick Mountain in White County. I heard there was a fire tower at the top and suspected I could get some good pictures from it. I was quite disappointed when I found there was only a radio tower there, and that the fire tower had been destroyed some time ago. I then went and parked at the bridge where 111 crosses the Calf Killer and walked west along the shore following wildlife trails. About 1/2 - 1 mile back there is an abandoned mill.
