Went hiking today with Elijah and Amy. We went to Ozone Falls, Black Mountain, Piney Falls, and finally the Grandview Fire-tower. I will be posting these as I format them.

Great photos as usual. You are really getting out and seeing lots of interesting stuff. I particularly like the perspective on the rail trestle, and the bogey photo.

What's the geology here? Looks like very ancient limestone which has been tilted then uplifted. Any change in composition due to heat and pressure?

There is evidence of a near vertical fault pictured in 13 and 14 where I suspect most of this mass dropped. I didn't see (or think to look for) any metamorphism present in any of the rocks.
Unfortunately I don't know what the formations are. Perhaps I can take a field class sometime in the future.
