My middle finger on my right hand is red and swollen. It's been soaking in peroxide for quite some time now.
While the soaking was occurring I discussed with my girlfriend the difference in the words cannibal and carnivore.
She knows the real definition but doesn't agree with it. She thinks that cannibal means eating any fleshen animal. That's her right as a woman.
After lengthy debate, discussing origins of words, necessity of clear and concise communication, agreed vocabulary and the kingdom/class/phylum thing I discovered something.
It's the Reciprocal value of Food and Reproduction.
If you can reproduce with it, you don't eat it.
If you eat it, you don't reproduce with it.
Another day of a job search passes.
Company just left. I enjoyed spending time with an old co-worker of mine and his charming wife.
He was nice enough to recover for me my surge protector that I left at work. Now I am enjoying having several computers on around me, and my music.
I find myself currently unemployed, in a strange land with no friends.
Tonight I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Blanton, a customer here at Computer Cafe.
He was a very pleasant customer and I enjoyed speaking with him.
He gave me his web page, which is a tribute to his wife who lost her fight with ovarian cancer.

Aside from this, Joe told me that he was running a program called UD. This program is similar to Seti@home; it uses spare computing cycles to make a sort of "super computer."
Instead of ET, UD searches for the cure for cancer. There has to be a more technical way to say that...
Anyway, I took it upon myself to install this software on 5 computers here at work today.
