"No masks and machetes Jeanie Holmanand her daughter Jamie Holman, 12k, were scared last night on Fanchers Mill Road as someone dressed in a hockey mask, identified as Carl Vance LaFever, stood behind a fence waving a machete as they walked by. Mr. Lafever was informed by Deputy Chris Bennett the Holmans could file charges. Mr. LaFever told the deputy he would not do it again"

A man I know was once described as "dead." The reason is that he didn't read. Think that's bunk, read on.
The story goes, that he's a wanna-be cult leader trying to indoctrinate the youth of white county, tennessee into taking the red pill. He told me once that he doesn't read because that is someone else's reality trying to infringe upon his worldview (only closer to the grunts of a caveman as he stated it).
My point now isn't to admonish against this statement, but to strenthen the concept that words define our world in more than a dictionary sence of the word.
When you think you think in words. Learning new words lets you experience the words in a new way. The primary way to do this is to read. So if you are not reading, you do not experience anything new. You are not growing, living. You are dead.

Though I try not to stoop, over a year ago I made a rash decision to stop work on the Oliver's Army web page. This was based on a single email where the lead singer,
Ryan, asked directly, "Are you working our web page still?" or something to that effect. I interpreted his tone as being snotty, and therefore quickly fired back that I was not.
The back-story of this was that I had agreed to do their web page while a friend of mine was still involved in the band. After their separation I was asked to stay on. I agreed, being unemployed and needing to hone my "skillz" more. Months passed and our communication became base, a list of needs to be addressed by me, the webmaster.
Tonight I caught up with Oliver's Army. Ryan most graciously bestowed their EP to my possession, the first transaction where I received something in our relationship. Maybe a compliment peppered here and there would have sufficed. Maybe that would have assisted in the interpretation of the tone of the email. And while I appreciate bluntness, my ego still needs to be stroked.
This is not to say that Ryan, or the other members of Oliver's Army aren't great people. They are.
I just wanted to illustrate how we can try to be better people by examining the how both parties were wrong.
While trying to update the blog I ran into a problem. It said "001 java.net.UnknownHostException: ftp.cafes.net"
All the GIS results were blogs of people complaining they can't upload their stuff. Here's how I solved it, and here's how you can. What the error means is that Blogger cannot resolve the IP address. This process is done through a DNS server which converts the names that are easy for our human brains to remember to numbers. Therefore, when this error occurs one can assume the DNS server blogger uses is down.
The way around this is to manually input the IP address. You can obtain it as follows.
Start > Run > command _enter_
at the prompt type "ping _whatever your ftp server is_"
it will return a few lines of code, and it will say "reply from _your FTP's IP address_"
input the IP into bloggers settings under your FTP server.
There it is.

This story says that Evil Dead 4 is in consideration for being remade.
Bruce, on his page, says there are no plans. What's up?
I just setup the blog for my DND game on saturday night. Here's the URL. I like the format pretty well... and if it works out alright, I think I'll change the format here. It's late, and I think I'm gonna read some Harlan Ellison
