In the last two weeks, that is the second person to contact me (albiet indirectly) from that period of my life. So this is a picture of Nick Spatty (mentioned in my Eighth Grade Revisisted article), and his wife Deanne and two smaller humans I'll assume are their children. Good for you Nick, you made copies of yourself. So let me guess Deanne, you were spousal-ego-surfing and found my page, would I be correct? Occam's Razor would agree.
The other is Leslie Varley, with whom I have been exchanging emails. He is currently in Japan, and offered this bit of wisdom in the most timely of manners now that my lease is up for renewal (and so many of my inner urges are telling me to escape this place): ...What are you going to do? you have any plans? I'd suggest staying where you are. theres nothing outside but more hell and it never gets better....being content is hell.
Jung called these instances synchronicity. Even those who believe only in what can be measured have to accept chaos. Chaos is the unmeasureable... and we can only go with the tide.
Ethics are nothing more than the algorithm of altruism (See The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins) filtered through the seive of modern religion and social norms. It's really nothing more than simple math that gets convoluted into something subjective.
