I don't believe in Einstein's Cosmological Constant, and I certainly don't believe in dark matter.
But it's the fasionable thing to believe in these days in the scientific circle, so let me invoke Occam's Razor.
William of Ockham said in what has become known as Occam's Razor, "Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate"
Translated roughly it means "plurality should not be posited without necessity."
In other words, "do not invent unnecessary entities to explain something." It seems like we invented dark matter to fill in the blank.
One day I may be proven to be wrong - but until we examine it directly, I suggest we look at understood natural phenomenon as an explanation.
What was once thought true was undone by rational examination. As our tools get better we uncover more and more of the universe. We uncover the formulas by which it works. I believe that systems in so called chaos work under a formula, a law. Hopefully time will yeild new means to explore and quantify relationships within so called chaotic systems.
At some point in time we may quantify and explain the whole universe. If this is true, then with perfect precision one would plausibly view the universe at any place at any moment in time, including the future with 100% accuracy. Will that ever happen? Probably not.
And bigfoot is real.

I tied up all loose ends with TTU (including a parking ticket from earlier this summer) today. I took my ritualistic tour of classes that I'll be in. I got my parking pass. I feel like a student again. It's weird.
It was a profitable day. I dumped my two year change collection at a coinstar and got over $200 dollars. I then went to Chattanooga and turned in my CD collection, my VHS collection, and some DVDs to McKay Used Books & CDs and got around $200 of trade. I got a bunch of new movies, a stack of graphic novels, and a gaming book. We ate in downtown Chattanooga at Big River.

Mmph. I had some chai tea earlier, hadn't given any thought that it had caffeine in it. Now I'm awake at 1:40am and I have to be at work at 8am. If I fall asleep now I'll get 5 hours of sleep.
I can't fall asleep, I have the anxious jitters that accompany an unexpected dose of caffeine. My eye will undoubtedly start twitching soon.
