Children's Department

We have been very blessed in our Children's Department; from super teachers and workers to parents who sacrifice their time and work for their children to most importantly the children themselves. They all seem eager to learn, play, and work.

The church realizes the importance of our children, and the need to equip them with the knowledge of a loving and caring God who personally wants to get to know them. The children of today's society will be facing and are facing a world that at times can be very harsh. They need to know that God is with them and loves them.

To help meet the need to prepare our children, the church provides a multitude of programs and events to teach our children and let them have fun at the same time.

Children's Quizzing:

Tina Oldfield heads up the quizzing effort, staffed by teachers eager to learn as well as teach. This program has met with a lot of success; placing tops in all age groups on a consistent basis. Quizzing is held every Wednesday Night from 7-8pm September through March for grades 1st - 6th.

Children's Talent

Each year the children are allowed to showcase the talents that the Lord has given them. We urge the children to share their talents with others in praise to the Lord. Talent is usually held in late March or early April.

Club Naz

Club Naz is held during the summer months on Wednesday nights. This is a special program offered to teach with more of an activity based atmosphere.

Bible School

This is always a big time for our church. This is an event that we put a lot of time and effort into. Over the past few years Bible School has gotten larger and larger. Each year we recieve more and more children, to the point that our vans are making two and three trips just to get them to and from church. This is a full church effort Adults and teens work hard at making this an experience the children will never forget. Its neat to look back and remember the good times I had at Bible School.

Special Programs

During the year we have a couple of programs for the children to minister to the church. At Christmas and Easter the children put in a lot of time and effort to present a message from their heart. It is amazing to see how much we come away with during these programs. It is definitely true when we say that they minister to the church.

Children's Missions

Every fourth Sunday we have a special mission's program to teach the children of how they and the church can help meet the needs of others around the world or just around the corner. They get to learn of other cultures and countries by use of pictures, slides, and real artifacts. The mission staff presents it in a way that is fun and interesting to the children; they really seem to love it.

Church Time

During service hours we have in place special church services for the children. The Gospel is presented to them in this hour in a way that is simple and to the point (the way it should be). Children's Church is set up for 1st through 6th graders; we also have set up a Kinder Church for ages four through Kindergarden; anytime that the church doors are open nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided. We have recently built a nursery with all the facilities to meet the needs of your child.
