Charles Winford Haynes was the only child born of the union between Henry Carter Haynes and
Virginia Elizabeth Russell. He was born April 04, 1915 in Bedford County, Tennessee.

Charles Winford (Bill) Haynes and Ona Ruth Crick (daughter of William Malcolm Crick and
Katherine Ethel Haynes Crick) obtained a license for marriage on July 19, 1935 and were united
in marriage on July 20, 1935 by W. G. Parsons in Bedford County, Tennessee. From this union
six daughters were born:

Billie Ann Haynes Born September 14, 1936

Katherine Joyce Haynes Born May 06, 1941

Virginia Sue Haynes Born September 20, 1943

Linda Lou Haynes Born November 15, 1945

Willie Maxine Haynes Born March 12, 1949

Martha Faye Haynes Born June 05, 1953

Bill and Ruth lived in the Halls Mill Community of Bedford County, Tennessee until 1940 and
later moved to Unionville, Tennessee where they farmed. About the mid 1940's, they purchased
a farm between Eagleville and Rover where they lived until 1965. All of their children, at one
time in their lives, attended Eagleville School. Maxine and Faye attended Unionville School for
one year. In August 1965, they moved to Shelbyville and Faye attended schools there until she
graduated. Bill and Ruth lived in Shelbyville until they retired but moved to several places
throughout the county. At the time of Bill's death, they had moved back to the community where
they began, in the Rover/Longview area.

Charles Winford Haynes lived to be 84 years of age. He died of pneumonia on January 08, 2000
in Centennial Hospital in Davidson County, Tennessee after telling his family on Christmas that
he wouldn't be with them much longer.

At the time of his death, the Family of Charles Winford Haynes and Ona Ruth Crick Haynes
consisted of 6 children, 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great
grandchildren.
