Charles Winford Haynes was the only child born of the union between Henry Carter Haynes and Virginia
Elizabeth Russell. He was born April 04, 1915 in Bedford County, Tennessee. Charles Winford (Bill) Haynes
and Ona Ruth Crick (daughter of William Malcolm Crick and Katherine Ethel Haynes Crick) obtained a license
for marriage on July 19, 1935 and were united in marriage on July 20, 1935 by W. G. Parsons in Bedford
County, Tennessee From this union, six daughters were born.

Bill and Ruth lived in the Halls Mill Community of Bedford County, Tennessee until 1940 and later moved to
Unionville, Tennessee where they farmed. About the mid 1940's, they purchased a farm between Eagle and
Rover where they lived until 1965. Most of the children attended Eagleville School, but the two younger
children also attended Unionville School for a brief time. In August 1965, we moved to Shelbyville and lived
there until both retired.

After retirement, they moved to several places throughout the county, but later moved back to the community
where they began, in the Rover/Longview area. Charles Winford Haynes lived to be 84 years of age. He died
of pneumonia on January 08, 2000 in Centennial Hospital in Davidson County, Tennessee after telling his family
at their Christmas gathering that he wouldn't be with them much longer.

At the time of his death, the "Family of Charles Winford Haynes and Ona Ruth Crick Haynes", consisted of 6
children, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
