Setting Up an Account with Outlook Express
- Click here to download an automated setup tool
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click on Tools, select Accounts.
- In the Mail tab, click Add, then select Mail.
- Type in your Display Name. This is the name that will be displayed when you send mail to someone else (i.e. John Doe). Click Next.
- Enter your email account. As a Computer Cafe customer, you are supplied with an email address when your account is activated. Your email address is username@cafes.net (i.e. johndoe@cafes.net). Click Next.
- Computer Cafe's Incoming Mail Server is a POP3 server. Our Incoming Mail server is mail.cafes.net. Our Outgoing Mail Server is smtp.cafes.net. Click Next.
- Your email Account and Password are the same as your dial-up account name and password.
- Computer Cafe does not use a Secure Password Authentification server.
- Click Next. Click Finish. Your account setup is now complete.

Attaching a FIle in Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click File. Select New, then Mail Message.
- Once in the email. Click Insert and select File Attachment.
- Browse for the file you wish to attach, select it, then click Attach.
- The file name will appear in the Subject area of the email. Confirm that this is the file that you wish to send.
- Type your message in the body of the letter and change the Subject if you choose.
- When finished, click the Send button.

Outlook Express Disconnects Me After I Check My Email
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click on Tools, then select Options.
- Under the Connection tab, uncheck the option "Hang Up After Sending and Recieving."
