Prayer Shawl Ministry group:  Prayer shawls date back to Old Testament times. Today, we make them and give away to comfort after a loss, give solace, during an illness and recovery, medical procedures and special celebrations. The knitter and crocheter creates each shawl with their own prayers. Special intentions are continued through out the making of the shawl. When the shawl is completed Father blesses the shawl before it is presented to the recipient. This ministry includes St. Mark's, St. Paul's, and the Hispanic communities. Join us in this beautiful ministry of comfort and joy. All you need to bring is your love of knitting or crocheting and your needs or hooks. We have lots of donated yarn and patterns to get you started. Check the news and events page or bulletin for the next scheduled meeting. Please feel free to call with questions, Beverly Bixler at 931-952-8366.
